Opportunity in the Crisis

Is it time to just bury my head and wait for the tough time to pass?

Short answer: NO.

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine who's a very well respected sales consultant.

We were talking about the power of presence.

Right now, in the midst of all this Coronavirus shutdown, as a businessperson, as a marketer, as a salesperson it is not the time to just duck and cover and wait for the storm to pass.

I do understand that it's easier said than done for a lot of people.

A lot of businesses are tremendously hampered by what's happening.

But what I'm telling you is that this can be an opportunity to show your customers and your prospects that you are here to serve them.

The Power of Presence means that by being there and by reaching out and by offering as much value as possible, you are not only doing a good human thing and helping people, but you are showing your clients and customers your true value.

If you are providing value above and beyond the thing that you sell, then you are much more than just the thing you sell.

Remember, there’s always someone who will do it cheaper.

Make sure you can justify the difference.

You need to find a way to provide value beyond that.

Here’s good example:

A client of mine normally does several in-person conferences a year.

Those are obviously cancelled or postponed.

So in place of that, he's doing several webinars each week.

Is it the same? Of course not.

But he refused to do nothing and leave his clients and audience to fend for themselves.

He is providing valuable information nearly every day.

I can bet you that, even in an economic crisis, you won’t be forgotten when the checkbooks open up again.

So do as the wise sage once said, Don’t just stand there. DO SOMETHING!

Stay well my friends.

Sincerely,

Reade

P.s. if you’re not sure what to do or how to drive more customers (and keep the ones you have) using online marketing, I can help.
