Hi, I’m Reade Milner.
I always get a kick out of the “about me” page on websites because they sound so professional and boring, like a wikipedia page written by a snake oil car salesmen.
This was my old about section copy:
I help businesses get do better marketing so they can sell more stuff.
During the course of my nearly 10-year career, I have generated millions of impressions, leading to thousands of leads, leading to hundreds of clients, leading to millions in revenue for my clients by improving their marketing effectiveness.
I really don’t like that.
So instead of that, I’m just going to write this like we’re friends already.
Cool? Great. Here we go!
Anyway – what do you want to know?
I’m 29 years old. I live in Barrow County, which is about 50 miles outside of Atlanta. I’m out here with my wife, Nikki, and our two boys, Hutch and Granger.
But I’m guessing that’s not really what you’re here to find out.
You’re probably wondering,
Can this guy help me grow my business.
In all honesty, the most likely answer is: NO.
For starters, I don’t sell “magic bullets”
For some reason, people think this product exists.
Who made this this up?
Then again, who am I to judge — I used to believe it too.
But that’s just not how it works.
Effective digital marketing requires:
Good strategy + right tactics x consistency.
So I learned what it takes to do those 3 things.
That’s what I do for clients.
Here’s the other thing — this isn’t a get rich quick game.
Don’t get me wrong, you can create a machine that has consistent revenue coming in every day…often on auto pilot.
But it takes a lot of work, the right strategy, and some skill to get there.
And it will take work to keep it all running.
So if you’re thinking that for a few bucks a month, you can stop having to work hard, then I’m not your guy.
In fact, if you’re looking for “The Easy Way”, I don’t want to help you.

But be forewarned, after I give a bunch of free stuff…
I will try to sell you something.
That’s right. I’m saying it. Right here and now.
Why would I hide it?
Is it that big of a surprise? I’m a marketing consultant.
That’s literally what I do for a living — help my clients sell stuff.
So if that didn’t serve as a clear enough disclaimer, here it is in H2 style text:

Don’t worry though, I always start with giving a really valuable strategy or tactics you can use immediately.
And again, that’s completely free.
Leading With Value is a core principle of mine. I believe it is the moral way to sell.
The thinking is that you’ll think to yourself, “Man, this guy’s free stuff really helped me. I think I’ll try the paid stuff.”
A wise man once said, “It’s not rocket surgery, it’s brain science.”
Now with all that out of the way, I suppose you do want to know the whole bio thing, so here goes:
I started my “Digital Marketing” career in 2009 when I started my first business — in college.
Didn’t know much about business (I knew nothing about business).
One thing I did know was that social media had to be part of it.
I was young, not stupid.
After all, I witnessed the birth of social media.
Got started on Zanga. That’s right. The precursor to the precursor to Facebook.
I saw how sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram were changing, well, everything.
So I set out to figure out how to make it work for me.
Best way to do that, in my young mind, was to start doing it.
And that’s exactly what I did.
If you’d asked me, I expected it to be easy. In fact, I spent more time thinking about how I’d spend my soon-to-be-had millions than I did how I’d actually earn it.
That experience helped me land a role with a few digital agencies, doing lots (and lots) of marketing agency grunt work.
This was actually pretty great because I got experience doing, well, everything one can think of in digital marketing.
Then, I got a request from a family member to do some social media marketing for his business. So I did.
And since I didn’t really know if I could help, I started for free.
And after a couple of years of trial and error (and several more low-paying gigs), I finally started to get some real success online.
Then I got a referral. Then another one. Then, another.
Next thing you know, I had a real business on my hands.
Fast forward a few more years and a few million bucks in client sales and, here I am.
I have had clients in approximately every state in the US and a few foreign countries, including Ghana (seriously).
So that’s how I found myself as a marketing consultant, working with multi-million dollar brands that are growing like weeds — and I get to drive the marketing ship.
Here’s what I can help you with, specifically:
My main focus is to help you use the internet to sell more stuff.
That usually means good content that is derived from your unique genius — and then creating the right digital infrastructure and advertising strategies to make sure that content works for you to get new traffic, leads, and customers.
